11:42:00 PMon february 9, we got a dog! her name is gracie, and she is a 4 year old weimaraner. she loves long walks on the canals, running anywhere for any length of time (seriously), playing fetch, rolling in the grass, eating grass, and watching lizards on our back wall. she is also down for the occasional dip in the pool, and loves eating... a lot. we were lucky enough to get her from a friend of a friend, already trained and house broken. we had been looking at the pound for awhile for a perfect dog. criteria included: no shedding (my skin is extra sensitive to that kind of fur), not too small, not yappy, not a puppy (since we don't have time to be home to train). and here we are, with the perfect dog for us, and we couldn't be happier. needless to say, our time spent at parks has increased to about 2-3 times per week, as depicted below.
